Iam running an ls/vtec turbo and I have a GSR oil pump in there right now, but i can not keep up the oil pressure, if anyone knows where I can get a aftermarket high volume pump it would be greatly appriecated

how are you running the feed to the head? a sandwich plate with a 6an line is perfect i've never seen anybody smoke a motor like that i just dont think the oil pump is your problem, i've seen people using an ls oil pump.

 

you need the prodrive gear set that goes inside the stock oil pump. Its made by prodrive

 

Well that was part of the problem the first was I was eager to run the car it hasn't been on the road for 2 years, customer cars come first .Well when we got the thing runnin it was pig *** rich washed down the walls contaminated the oil spun a bearing but before this always the oil preuuser was too low, now I rerouted both oil lines shorten them up got a greddy oil block adapter but I dont want to take any chances, whats the link where I can find the prodrive pump I checked with all my suppliers and they dont bring them in.

The Prodrive gear is an exact replica of the oem gear in a different material.The pump is not your problem.You may have (had) way to much bearing clearance or wrong external oil line plumbing.On occasion the oem pump gear breaks but that is its only problem.The only higher volume pump for an Acura or Honda would be an external oil pump or drysump.

Thanks for your info I look into that I have already changed all the oil lines to a smaller size we'll see Iam pretty sure that the fuel caused the spun bearing I have changed to a standalone now, tuning with a non obd computer is a pain it was that the oil presure was not where I had wanted it, hopefully this will fix the problem and again thanks for all your help and info

 

have the OEM VTEC oil pump shimmed to increase some oil pressure.

a .045 thick shim inscreased my oil pressure by about 10PSI which is perfect for feeding VTEC and turbo

hey do you have pics of what or where you shimmed? will it have any effect on the streghth of the pump? interested in this cause i have sucha big fear of spining a bearing due to oil starvation...

 

You can also just buy the vtec pump spring.Its less than $3.Figure #6 in the link.
