I can get a GT3076R for about $200 more then I was going to spend on my SC61, would you spend the extra money of just get the cheaper SC61. Man I never knew it would be this hard to choose a turbo. After reading "Maximum Boost", and taking in as much info I could from H-T I am still up in the air on what I should get. they both would work good for me, but I like the spool factor of the GT seris. I need some help here guys...

the turbo is going on a 85mm sleeved, 9:5:1, gsr

i made the #'s in my sig with a SC61 turbo

 

see thouse are the #'s that I am looking to make. so there is one for the sc61. anymore opinons??

 

the gt turbo is a better turbo, but if you happy with the numbers and spool time of the sc61 why spend the extra money..

 

I like the number with the SC61 but I like the spool of the GT, that is why I cant make up my mind. anyone know where I would see full boost with the GT3076R,and the SC61. I know that it would be a guess.

 

You're looking at right around 5000 RPM's with the SC61, probably a bit sooner since you're on a big bore. How much peak HP do you want to make, the SC61 is like a 625-650 absolute max WHP turbo, and the 3076 is like 525-550 peak.

 

I am looking to make 350-400hp DD, and about 450-500hp track days. I just want to make it fast on the streets.

I've asked before and I'll ask again....what are you trying to do with the car? Different missions require different turbos.... Road race? Drag, street? You must give more information than just saying you want quick spool...
