Clutch chatters when cold
So whenever I start my car in the morning, if I dont let it warm up for a decent amount of time my clutch chatters really bad. It's especially embarrassing if someone's in the car with me. I feel broken lol. Anyways, anyone know what could cause this?? I don't know how old the clutch is, its a 93 coupe with 150k miles. Thanks guys.
Yeah it's enoying. It also happens with aftermarket clutches. I'm currently driving aournd like that. Doesn't matter what the temperture is for me.
Are you still driving around with the stock clutch? Replacing the clutch would solve the problem. Have you checked and made sure that the noise isn't comming from the flywheel?

i have the same problem when i start the car in the mornings. my clutch has 125k on it. when it is warm it drive fine, so i dont see a need in replacing it, but it is annoying. Isnt there an adjustment or something that can fix this?
Your clutch is just showing the wear and tear of many miles of use.
I have had one do the exact same thing and it still held up for a while longer (over a year and 10k later)... just try to be nice to it (no burnouts or whatnot...
). Over time it will get progressively worse and eventually you should plan to shell out some money for a new clutch.
On a side note I just installed an aftermarket stage III clutch (6 puck disc) and it is not rough or chattering at all luckily.
