I NEED HELP ON MY CF HATCH !!!
i recently purchased a cf hatch fo rmy ek. i still want to use my stock interior panels so i must drill/dremel some holes on the cf hatch. plus im goin to use my stock rear window wiper too so i must drill out a hole on the cf itself. before i do this....any suggestions on what to use ? im pretty sure i need a dremel, which i have, but i dont know what drill bit or disc to use on cf. im pretty sure the backside is fiberglass or whatnot. any info/advice will help out ! btw...this is a nrg cf hatch...THANKS !!!
i think this is one of the things you give up when you go to a cf hatch. if you want to use oem parts you gotta do a little modding.
its a pain in the ****..... here what your is your car? if its 99-00 then you must use a 96-98 latch or you have to drill like i did on mines.... the panels were a b*tch so i didnt use them but i did use the stock glass... hope that helps
and good luck...
and good luck...
CF hatch is definatly a race oriented peice and designed 2 slim down as much weight as possible so i dont really understand having one with panels glass and wiper
... Even though with my setup im running glass but thats just because i have tented windows.... btw goodluck

OK PRETTY MUCH DONT DRILL INTO IT RIGHT ? ok so now im OVER putting in my stock panels now. i just wanted it to look clean inside but since im goin to tint the windows, they wont be able to see inside.
OK, glad we cleared that now. NOw for the Rear Wiper.... i REALLY REALLY REALLY need that. I smoke fat bowls in my car alot. that rear wiper helps out during wet seasons to keep an eye out for the po-pos ! if any of you understand where im coming from then youd understand. I heard that you can use a Carbide drill bit to drill thorugh CF cleanly ? is this true ? are there any ways of preventing the hole form future cracking? like some kind of sealant ?
thanks for all the info and thoughts about this !!!!

high *** motherhumper..hahah i was thinking about the same thing..those with dx hatches..will know that its pretty damn convenient to have a rear wiper on your hatch.....

i have a carbon fiber hatch on my eg.. it was the most annoying thing, it took me like a full day to put it on and wire it up. When they make the carbon fiber pieces the mess the mold up sometimes and you have to fix their mistakes the best you can. IMO its not worth it..

hahahaha holy ****...
i really really do not suggest drilling a hole out for the wiper... fitting the whole mechanism in and properly to where it will not damage the hatch itself is going to suck. take a look at the skeleton and really consider whether or not you are going to be able to use the rear wiper mechanism.
