Question about Scholth(sp?) harness with or without Roll Bar.
Ok I plan to get a Autopower roll bar and then a 4 or 5 point harness of some kind.
But I have a track event coming before I will be able to get the roll bar. I have no harness to use for the event and would like one cause the stock seat belt just isnt cutting it.
So here are my questions: I know the Schloth (SP?) harness works with factory mounting points. Could I use this harness when I get the Autopower rollbar or will I have to buy another to go with that?
Anyone know a good place to buy the harness?
TIA

Sorry for this TJ, but...
DON'T WEAR A HARNESS WITHOUT BAR/CAGE PROTECTION!!!

x 10I've run many track events with the stock seatbelts. They aren't that bad.
TJ - try this trick to secure youself w/ a stock seatbelt... twist it around 3-4 times and then buckle... it should hold you tighter, try it.
The Schroth harness are street legal, whereas most of the race versions are not (believe it or not).
If you're going to eventually get a roll bar or cage, I'd wait til then to bet some "real" belts.
The "harness guide bar" you IM'd me about is from http://www.speedwaremotorsports.com in Washington state (about $400 or so).

I have the SCHROTH Ralleye 3 harness. It fits to the two stock side mounting locations and it forms a "Y" in the rear mount and I have mine mounted to the top point of my rear seat belt location. Works great and *was* GS legal for AutoX.
I have used it for two roadcourse events as well and it works fine. If I were racing competitively...then I would consider a rollbar/cage. I'm not...so I won't ever go competitive with my ITR and I think it works fine.
