Default looking for a streetable cam that wont wear out my valve train so fast

i currently have skunk stage 2s in 3 of my engines already during the 3 years i owned it. went through 2 sets of skunk 2 valve springs and retainers already and now i'm looking to switch cams. i was wondering if the buddy club stage 4's are harder on the valve train than the skunk stage 2's? thanks if advance.

Your problem isnt the cams, skunk 2 springs just suck, I have had excellent luck with portflow springs and retainers, omnipower, and rocket motorsports are excellent choices as well.

What was wrong with the springs and ret.? They broke? wore out, went out of spec? Retainer hit the seal?

Get Rocket Motorsports Gen 2 Dual springs, and Ti retainers, you'll have no regrets.

my valve dropped into the cylinder twice after 25k miles of each use. after my machinest inspected the valve train, valve springs where worn and the retainers where gailing. the car wasnt driven like a baby, it was driven hard. now i'm just looking for a cam that isnt so aggressive but can make similar power. thanks for all the replies.

Get Rocket Gen2 or Omnipower springs or retainers. They employ a snap-in retainer, which reduces galling GREATLY.
