Default Mugen Pedals Question

Is there any drilling involved in installation and if so how much?

They run anywhere from $150-200

Actually it depends, if you want to do it that way, or not!
Still didn't put mine on. yet!

In my opinion you would be much better served by getting some pedals that require drilling. If you are going to track your car at all the last thing you want isa pedal cover coming loose (not that the Mugen's will, but I have heard of others that do...) OMP, Sparco, and others make some very nice pedals for much, much, much cheaper than the Mugens.

Better safe than sorry...

I think it's just personal preferance in terms of aftermarket pedals. All Realtime R's use stock pedals, I find stock pedals work the best for me. Not that I don't want to spend on pedals. I tried the JDM Levok pedals and some other brands and they all don't work quite as good as stock. No matter how I adjusted them, they just feel weird during heel toe. So, I went back to stock.

Yeah.. I used to like the stock pedals a lot, until my foot slipped off the gas like 3 times in 5 minutes during the rainy season.. How exactly does one install the Mugen Pedals?

The gas pedal is suppose to be slippery, that helps heel-toe. Only the clutch and brake are supposed to be gripy. That's why most aftermarket pedals use different materials for gas and clutch & brakes. BTW, how did you slip off the gas? Because if you get mugen, the gas pedal is even more slippery.

I dunno why I kept slipping... I slipped off the clutch too and must have ground at least twice.. I am pretty sure to thank the shoes I was wearing for that.. Haven't worn them since and haven't had any problems...

i'll try to take some pictures of the pedals tomorrow when i change the tranny oil. the pedals have clips on the top and bottom to hold securely. mugen pedals are nice because you have the option of going with the clips or drilling, either way allows you some adjustment to fit your preference. they much improved my ability to heel toe, i love them!!!

That's cool - I didn't know that the Mugen's could be installed by drilling and bolting...
