Hi everyone, I am not really new here I just have never needed to post before I have researched alot but I still need help. I put a b16a1 in my friends 91 si hatchie last weekend that has had a lsd installed in the trans in japan. The speedo wouldn't work so I pulled the vss out and the driven gear was gone. I tried to stuff in the d16 gear and its to big. I know I need a smaller gear but I dont know what to use or the brand of lsd in the trans. What can I do?? open to all idea's. Thanks in advance.

 

Get a new mechanical speed sensor from a b series cable tranny like the 90-93 Integra which can be found pretty cheap. I'm assuming the lsd tranny you are refering to is a Y1.

 

The integra speed sensor and the civic has the same sized gear does it not? The trans is not an origanal lsd trans. Somebody in japan has taken the original gear off for a reason and thats the part that scares me.

I think its a ys1 but I will know sunday when I get the car back at my shop
