Default Motor Question

I Have a 1998 Honda Civic EX and One Day I Found Out That I had Spun A Bearing In My D16Y8 Engine So I Went Looking For A New Motor And I Found A 92 95 VTEC, 2nd Gen engine only B16A 1.6 For a $1000 Dollars. I'm Wondering If It Will Be Ok For Me To Just Swap Out The Engines Using The Same Wiring Harness,ECU & Etc.? And Is that a good price for just the engine?

no a b16 is DOHC and you have SOHC, and it is obd 1 not obd2 and you rwould need the b16 tranny to go with the motor. do the hole swap or just find another SOHC

It's illegal to have a motor in your car that is older than the car itself...

But for a B16A to fit in your car you'll need the ECU, distributor, harness, mounts, axles, tranny, shift linkage, manifolds the whole shibang.
