Default ITR vs RSX Type S

What's up to all of you.. This is my first post. I have a 00 Nighthawk Black Pearl ITR...I'm kinda new to all of this posting up threads and stuff and not sure if this topic has been posted yet, but was just wondering one thing....
I was just wondering if any of you have ran against a Type S or have seen one run the 1/4 to see how fast they run... I've read numerous reviews and some magazines say it runs high 14s and then some say low 15s.. and I'm just not sure.. are they suppose to be faster than the ITRs... and the dealers give you a lot of bull saying that the Type S is faster (200hp vs 195hp).. horsepower don't mean sh*t if you don't know what you're doing..., but I doubt the Type S is faster.. I think the ITRs are faster in the 1/4 mile and the track.
I don't drive my ITR around much, but I guess on one of my drives a friend of a cousin who owns a Type S saw me and he wants to run me... for what, I have no idea... I have nothing to prove to him... I know I'm going to smoke him already... I asked him to run my 94 GS-R then.. if he wins we can talk about the RSX vs ITR deal... but let me know what you guys think.. thanks a lot...

One more thing to add.. this forum, including you guys are a lot of help in determining upgrades and improvements for the R.. you guys have been very helpful... thanks once again...

Well, if that's the only place it's ever going to happen if it ever does...then it will.... but I just don't wanna waste my time with that idiot... no point in taking out the R for some fool... I keep that thing covered up... Daily driver is the GS-R... but I still need to know 1/4 track times for the Type S....

My friend has an RSX-S. The speed of it and my ITR are very close. I'd say that the ITR has a SLIGHT advantage at lower speeds (< 65), but it is not that much. We ran up to about the third gear shift, I believe, and I was pulling on him slightly. I'm not sure what it's like at higher speeds. Anyway, on a track or auto-x course you will KILL an unmodified RSX-S, and that's all the really matters, right?

I've driven a Type S before.. when they first came out... was looking for a ITR back then and the only thing available was the Type S.. so my friend and I took one out for a test drive and that thing doesn't seem fast to me... my GS-R seemed faster than that.. I guess it's because the Type S has better sound insulation and what not... but too bad they had to take out the Integra name and put a RSX label on it... just gotta wait until 2004 when the RSX Type R hits the US shores, but still I favor the old body styles more (94-01)...

For some reason.. I just laugh my *** off reading the above.

R's that don't get driven:
Street racing a cousin:
Thinking you are better than him cause you have a R:

The common thing about the above is? Yep, you guessed it. The moron who owns the R.

Drag racing sucks, and your 2000 R is FBP (flamenco black pearl).

I wasn't the one who proposed the race... he did.. not me... and I was just asking for opinions.. no need for the hating...

OK, I'll take back the cousin part.. I was confused by this statement:

I don't drive my ITR around much, but I guess on one of my drives a Type S of my cousins saw me and he wants to run me...
Since the word "friend" was mentioned no where in there and it sounded like the type-s saw you and wanted to run you, thus I assumed that "a type-s of my cousins" meant your cousin's type-s.

As for the "better than" part:

but I just don't wanna waist my time with that idiot... no point in taking out the R for some fool...
Yep. Sounds like you consider him an equal to me too! Thanks for clearing that up! (btw, it's WASTE)

Sorry about the words that are not spelled correctly... don't have time to check for errors when you're trying to post stuff up during work... just wanted some insight... and you act like as if you don't f*ck up on typing too...

I never said that I just don't call some one an idiot and f*ck up spelling in the same sentence on a pretty easy to spell word.

(edit: oh yeah, I have $1 on a mod locking this in the next 30 minutes)

The majority of the the RSX S's that I seen run this past year were in the low 16 to high 15 area. Thats with street tires and since they were new cars I'm sure the driver was just trying to get used to the car. When I started with my R, I was pulling 15 flat and 15.1 for a while till I learned how to launch the car.
