advice needed 92 si swapping to h22a
I have a 92 Prelude Si which was in some deep engine trouble a little while back
timing belt broke
valves bent
water pump kit
my shop said they'd have to resuface the head, change oil and filter, thermostat, gaskets, and seals.... they're estimating me $1,721 (including tax) varying if they run into any other problems
the "rest" of the engine is in good condition i guess so i'm wondering if it is wise to use what i can and do a h22a swap. please defend your answers with prices. Thanks in advance.

my advice would be to go the extra 9 and get the h22.
how many miles is on your motor now? cause fixing what's wrong without repairing evvvvvverything may be more expensive in the long run. Say you spin a bearing a couple months from now (what happened to my h23)..
JapanDomesticMotor.com has the h22a obd1 for $1900 plus shipping. So if you have a helms manual and a few friends and a decent tool set you can install it yourself.
