I know it's just a re-badged zx-6r but I was up at the dealer sat. and my salesman was showing this to me and I thought it looked pretty sweet imo, also the price isn't too bad either... $7299 is what they list for. Another thing he was telling me that it's cheaper on insurance because it doesn't have the word ninja. I sat on the bike and I felt like I could be pretty comfortable with it. Anyways I just wanted to see if anybody has rode one or has any opinions on it.
i think its a nice bike for the money; seems to be in the same class as the f4i and 600r. just check on the insurance before you buy; i don't trust a thing a salesman tells me.

The money is what really impressed me for being new and all. I really like the fairing for the protection. About the only thing I didn't like is that it's carbed, and no fuel gauge. Although I think that I would be fine with the carb, it's easier to work on and all, but I'd like the better fuel economy and smoother throttle. The kawi's look nice and I almost try to look for something different. I was really impressed with it though.
that was my first bike
i bought a '00 zzr and rode it for a year before i sold it and upgraded 600's
its a fantastic starter bike
plenty of speed, a little heavier so its stable as hell, and it even has a glove box right on the front fairing
good choice for a starter!!!

comes from a long line of zx6ds, e's, r's, and now the zzr. i doubt the whole ninja / insurance thing... its cheaper on insurance b/c its carbed, not fuel injected. great bike to learn on, with roughly 95whp or so... can get you into some seroius trouble if youre not careful. good luck with it!

I'm looking into getting one in a year or two and this was just one of my choices for being a new bike that is. I got those narrowed down to 2 or 3 though. I have progressive insurance and I've heard that they are pretty good but to also check out state farm. I know a lot of different people that have 2 different insurance companies for their cars and bikes. Also if I have this right prgressive doesn't really go by the model of the bike because they go by size rating. I guess that can be a good thing but then bad just as easy.

I like the looks a lot, it's not the fastest thing, but...
Don't let them give you the insurance scam thing. When I looked at Suzuki's, the guy told me the bikes with 'R's' in the name were more expensive insurance wise
So he tried to sell me a Katana
