Default Window & Sunroof Auto-Up and Auto-Down

Sorry if this is a n00b question, but I've always wanted to know how to make my windows and sunroof close when I arm my alarm and possibly how to get them to all roll down and open when I disarm my alarm.

What parts would i need to buy and how hard would it be to hook up?

I have a DEI Viper 300 on a 92 Prelude Si.

Thanks for your help

there are a few companies that make window rollup/down modules, you just need to find one. I hooked up a window roll up module the other day, all they need is 12volt,ground, and a negative trigger to tell them when to roll up. There are 4 other wires that go into the drivers door that hook directly to the window rollup wires.

the way I set this one up was when you pushed the 2nd accessory button on the remote the windows would roll up.

DEI (Viper etc...) makes two parts:

530T which is two windows UP and DOWN

and

529T which is ONE window up and down (or sunroof open and close)

you can find them at your loal DEI dealer...

I think I have a couple of 529 and 530T's if you need one.

529T can either put one window or sunroof up/down open/close with the touch of a switch. OR 2 Windows up or 2 windows down so you can use that one in 3 ways.

530T can put 2 windows up and down with the touch of the switch.

Also with both you can wire them to an output lead on your Alarms remote so that when you hold the button down it will open close your windows/sunroof. You can also wire it so that the Negative lead when the system is armed raises/closes the windows and then your extra output can be used to put the windows down. If you don't have an alarm you can use a "Channel Expander" which can add up to 6-8 channels to your current alarm by mixing key presses to activate each one, or you can use it by itself with a remote. Which I have both of extra.

Lets just say the stereo system I was once going to build was going to have a good bit of automation via remote

There are 2 somewhat isolated relay circuits in each the units and if you isolate the triggers on the 529T you can use it to roll one window up and down, not so sure you can do that, [for 4 windows] on the 530T because of the automation circuit, but then anything is possible 94

I guess I'll grab a 530T and find a wire-out diagram for my alarm and work at it.

So in order to get my sunroof to work with this, I would need a 530T for the two windows, and a 529T for the sunroof right?
