Default AEM ?'s ...

What is the best way to "protect" the AEM piping from rubbing and eventually putting a hole in it ?... I have tried alot of things and they temporarily work ... Thanks for your suggestions.....

Cut a piece of larger diameter rubber hose a few inches long, slice it open lengthwise, wrap it over the AC lines, and secure with zip-ties (don't let the zip ties rub on the AEM though).

Rubbing against the a/c lines? Zip-tie the two metal lines together. Be careful not to bend them too much.

I used a small piece of double-sided tape to "pad" the AEM against the overflow reservoir. Turned out the intake was not properly seated on the throttle body. That problem is now gone.

After I put in my AEM the hoses that came with it weren't long enough. The longest hose was not nearly long enough for the vacuum line to reach from the head to the intake so i just used the existing aluminum vacuum line and cut a small section of the hose that came with the AEM and put it over the factory line and connected it to the intake. Well i had quite a bit hose left over and the intake was rubbing the A/C lines so what i did was cut a section of the hose and slice it along the lenght of the hose and wrapped it over the a/c line. Worked like a charm. My friends AEM the rubber lines were also too short. Why is that?

Well if you see where the bolt connects close to reservoir we just grinded out the hole abit more where you can adj the AEM CAI more and never had problem. Also my hoses came long enough but mine where for 98 spec R. I wouldn't think there be difference but you never know.

I used the "Punk Method" and it works great. Actually, I got the idea from Dave-ROR so props to you, Dave. Mine had actually rubbed through all of the AC line insulation before I caught it. Got lucky, I guess...
