compression on motor with 3mm headgasket?
i might be picking up a b18c5 motor.. it was previously boosted.... not really worried about that... it has a 3mm thicker headgasket currently that i would be swithcing out to oem 3 layer headgasket anyways...
but with the 3mm gasket the compression test came out to 195 195 195 195.. im glad its consistent btu i was wondering if anyone here is good enough to be able to determien what the normal comresion numbers would be with a normal head gasket with completely stock internals... the motor is al stock except for thicker headgasket.
thanx guys for any help

3mm??? thats one thick **** headgasket
do you mean .3mm?
every .1mm thickness is about .1 in compression ratio

im pretty sire its 3mm not .3mm the motor was boosted and needed compression dropped signifacantly or at least the owner though that..
yea its the 3mm INLINE PRO headgasket i just looked on the website

well, the OEM headgasket is 0.6mm
3mm-0.6mm= 2.4mm , thats about how much you will gain back in compression ratio
dunno what thats gonna read on your particular compression gauge but i would guess 230s?
