This Acura was originally built by Comptech and tuned by Jotec in Dallas. ready for this, in puts 270 hp to the rear wheels.

It may look ricey.. but if that's the same car he autocrosses.. it's the ONLY Integra Type-R to **EVER** beat my gs-r. That car is FAST and very very well tuned. Mark Allen owns Atlantic Performance and the car is/was a shop car, which might explain some of the ricey items.. it used to have stickers, cf hood and other chit too.. unless this is a different s/c'd py itr from him...

 

All that power to the rear wheels... must be hard to drive

270whp? I thought SSC dyno'd it at 242whp and did the 1/4mile in 14.75 with a 6.49 0-60! lol
Even with no traction at all in 1-2nd gear, I still can't figure out how that car hit such a low time with that power. I was able to 13.0 with no traction at all in 1-2nd gear (2.26ft) with 250whp and 2750lbs!!!!!!

That car must have tons of potential that has never been tapped yet. If itpoo pooing 242 or rather the 270whp which is claimed, I bet a good tuner could get the power to 300whp if they try hard enough. If I can hit 265whp with the same psi as him, yet with totally stock internals vs his built setup, tuning must be the key with this car.

also $49,000 invested into this car? That seems like a lot for the parts he's claiming to have. And I don't think that money was invested into tuning because I beleive someone here said he had a killer connection with a dyno shop.
Maybe all that money was invested into the tuning of the suspention or something?

mark allen doesnt own atlantic performance, he used to work there, but he got fired (cause hes a bitch or something). i saw that car at an autocross in jax, and mark and his wife were taking turns driving it. funny how they parade mark allen's driving abilities but at the autocross event i went to, his wife (wendi i belive?) was faster...in his own car...and we know girls cant drive for poo poo!

I stand corrected on the AP part. In G'Ville, Mark was faster than Wendi IIRC. Either way, it's still a fast car. By far the fastest ITR I've even seen autocross, at least in g'ville.

And yes, IMO Mark is an ***. I don't like him, not have ever liked him. In fact I disliked him from the moment I met him..

 

His Dad owned Atlantic Performance and Allen Automotive right across the street but gave his son the boot b/c of finance issues... heard that Mark was giving "hook-up" prices to too many people and spending too much on his personal car. At least that's what I've been told so take it with a grain of salt.

anyway, back on topic... I've seen the car run and it is really fast and can handle tremendously well. The engine bay looks the same as I remember but every time he took it to an autoX the interior was gutted... Nice car but probably not worth the $$, imo. The last autoX I saw him run at his wife was a few 10ths slower than him but one of his friends was co-driving the car and beat him by just few 100ths.

 

seems to be a pretty popular opinion... the instant I started talking to him about autoX suspension tuning for my R he started trying to sell me a supercharger kit luckily, I never knew him well enough to form a strong dislike

 

why does it say puts 270whp to the rear wheels, then on the drivetrain specs says Transverse, front engine - front wheel drive? gay

that ad/Ebay auction was put up by a firm who's selling the car for him. I'm 99% sure they are the one's who messed up. Look at all those typo's on the ad! lol

IMO this car is not all that. My ITR was equipped with a JRSC and I didn't think it was all that. IMO the ITR runs much better NA. Also, those stitching on the seats are nasty.

 

Hey Dave how much did he beat you by? That car handles incredibly.I have driven it and can say it does handle good,however,it leaves a lot to be desired as far as power goes.
Oh and tp clear up all the Myths about Atl peformance.I use to work there.He was not let go due to financial issues.He was caught by his father yelling and screaming at another employee.So his dad let him go.All of the allans are ******** including his father Ira.That is why i am happy to say Atl.Performance and all of the Allen buisnesses are bankrupt,Allen Tire,auto,car rental and Atl.Perf are gone The only thing that sucked was Atlantics manager is one of my bestfriends and he lost his wll paying job.
