The 16" Anthracite are coming out end of February, according to Tire Rack. You might want to wait for those.

 

can't be done. too expensive (I think) and I already ordered Falken Azenis in 205/50/15.

 

Sorry no Pics, However A friend has the silver K-1 on his Yellow R, I Don't think they look right, They are to Bright, but opinions vary. I have K1 as race wheels that I have changed the color on 3 times already.

I'm really leaning towards changing the color, probably black or flat-black. I'm not one of those R/hybrid owners that thinks having an ugly car is cool, or endearing somehow.

I powdercoated mine a tiiite flat black.

 

Ross - you know you want to paint yours in "chromillusion" (color-changing) paint from AutoZone. They you'll be bling-bling around the track.

 

I agree, I didn't like the look of the silver on my PY R either. I spray painted mine a Metallic Black. It looks pretty cool IMO.

 

Mine were originally white....and then I stripped off the paint/powdercoat (whatever it is stock) with an aircraft stripper....

didn't have time to paint em... mounted them with the 32Rs.....and SIR lapping day here I come....!




If it looks unusually high.....it's cuz I'm still riding the stock suspension....

Damn Ross, first the Mugen Wing, now a set of K1's... What else are you doing to it? I remember you were talking about seats a while ago, too. Sounds like I might have to wreck my R so I can get some new goodies!

I had them for my CW R, and I liked the silver with a white car. Once I got my PY R, I tried putting them on the car for a week, and I couldn't stand the color. Now they're my track wheels!

Black looks good, esp. on Andrew's car. I think that's what I am going to have done, at some point. These are going to be mostly track/autox wheels, unless I find the Dunlop SP5000s unsuitable for summer driving.

Floyd - most of the goodies will have to wait...the canister/b-pipe won't be ready until sometime in February. Seats can't happen, not badly damaged enough for insurance to cover it.

 

Ross, I justr finished cleaning and painting my autox/track wheels flat black - and it turned out great. I was a bit skeptical at first that it would turn out looking real amateur, but if you take the time and do it right it looks great...

 

Fuq doing it myself. I dont even have access to a hose at this school, and I'm not going to impose on my friends in the area to have black paint flying everywhere...powdercoating it is.

 

I sprayed mine with ULTRA Flat Black Krylon at first. Unfortunately, they peeled and flaked quite a bit -- tape weights seemed to come off at speed easier too. So finally I said f-it and paid $240 to have 6 wheels sandblasted and powdercoated.

Just pay to have them blasted and powdercoated.
