Distributor rotor removal
I have a TD-44 distributor and I'd like to know how to remove the rotor. It seems to be stuck on there pretty good. By the way, it's a Distributor King distributor. Thanks
get a bigger screwdriver. i mean one with a bigger handle, that way it will apply more torque to the screw. you'll have to push on the screwdriver pretty hard not to strip the screw, also. push down the axis of rotation of the screwdriver.
Either use a big *** screwdriver or you can use one of the hand impact drivers to help get it out. I usually have to loosen my intake piping so that I can maneuver it in there and give the handle of the impact a little tap so that the screw turns. Also, crank the rotor around to the best angle with the crank pulley bolt in the driver's side wheel well.
If yours is like mine, you should see it on the opposite side of the contact.

#11 in the pic. You can only get to it when the contact is pointing to the front and the screw will be facing the firewall.

I had to cut the dust cover off to get to the rotor. Come to find out the damn rotor just popped off. There was no screw holding the rotor on. Distributor King slapped a generic rotor on
. So now I have to go buy another rotor that's suppose to fit on there. Thanks for all the help guys.

i'm having this problem as well (crx dizzy). i can't get to the screw on the rotor because it's being blocked by numerous engine components. is there a way to turn the rotor manually so that the screw is more easily accessible?
my brother stripped that same screw on my motor and just put the new cap on my car and left the old burnt rotor on... I was ******* pissed, i had to break out my disc cutter and slice a deep slot in it and grabbed a nice beefy flathead screwdriver to get it out.

have someone crank the engine
until the screw is visable from the front winshield passengerside

I know sucks, but it's true you must put on the cap back on, then turn your ignition. Then take the cap off and check to see you can see screw #11. Continue doing this untill you are able to see it... You'll get it don't worry
