Serious Question for those with high comp ratios
I am getting ready to rebuild my recently blown b18c and was wondering if when you go to a higher compression piston do you go through starters quickly at all? I would think that you would being that it puts more strain on it to turn over the motor.
Also I was wondering the same thing with the alternator. I revved my original engine up around 9k and sometimes higher when I was running different cams and it seemed I went through an alternator somewhat regularly, anyone else have this problem? I seemed to think it was from the high revs but I could be wrong. Any theories on either of these?
