We checked carfax and it turned out good, the body looks fine except for small scratches here and there; but something to be expected.

The car is 01 GSR with only 18k miles for 12k. That sounds too good to be true, maybe I'm wrong? But the engine looked dirty, although it did say b18c1.

Is it possible to tell if a car has its engine swap out?

 

compare the engine vin number to the vin on the chassis, that way ull know if it original

 

12k isn't an amazing deal, i'd say thats about average. but yeah check the vins to be sure about the engine.

 

By checking the VINs the motor still couldve been swapped out but they couldve kept the tranny. Chances are it hasnt been swapped and if he is gonna spend 12k on it i would buy it with ZERO mods.

 

on a 2001 gs-r, the vin# on the block is located behind the header below the dipstick. it is on a little green plate!
