Default B20A5 Header

Does anybody have a header on a B20A5 and if so do you notice a gain in HP? I am broke, but I can probably afford a pacesetter header. Does any body know if they're good or poo poo?

if you put a header on that particular motor you will notice a good 15 hp difference and a top end power band. you will lose a little bit of low end, but the header is definately worth it.

and, yes, there is a dyno that shows a header adds that much to that motor.

Since it is kindof hard to make out, those are gains of 11.7 HP and 9.1 ft/lbs. Crxplus is right, DC Sports header for B21/B20 engines give good gains, and lose few to no power at low-end - other setups lose much.

The DC Sports header for a B21A engine fits onto a JDM B20A5, not sure if it fits for the USDM one.

This is B21A BTW, I changed my name since I now don't have a B21A engine. I get my prelude back tomarrow with my ceramic DC's installed for the first time, I will give a review here...

If you know your Hondas, like 93H22A does, you would know that it is a 88-90, mine is a 90.

Please explain... Are you talking to me!?

Because if you are I will make fun fo you and 93H22A. 3rd generation prelude are USDM years of 88-91. I think you need to explain your arguement a little more.

My car is still not done. The last two days when I called they said they could not find the right intake manifold gasket. WTF!? The rest of the parts were ordered though a local honda dealer. They also installed a new timing belt and water pump w/o asking me first! I am starting to get very angry at these people, and I've missed class being w/o my car. WTF should I do? How can I get them to finish the job. Does anyone know if the intake manifold on a B20A5 USDM is different than a JDM, that could at least put me to ease. Thanks...

changing the timing belt and water pump should be include in the engine swap, unless those parts are already brand new with the engine that you ordered. i wouldn't be too upset over that, but i would be getting annoyed about them not being able to find the parts at a honda dealership. call up a honda dealership and ask them if the gaskets are the same for usdm and jdm. then you will have your answer.

Got my baby back today. And to answer your question, header on a B21/B20 make a huge difference. The damn shop charged my over $700 the estimate, oh well. I need a new job! With the A/C parts all out it opened more room, and don't touch the header even if the car ran idle for 30 seconds, I'm a dumbass. Now all I have to do is finish wiring my a/f gauge and detail interior, and I'm done. Well, of course there will always be little things... Glad to have my car back!
