Another Integra goes to heaven
I totalled my car yesterday, I kinda proved that Hondas CAN actually fly..........
I was driving down Haven towards the 10 freeway and I was going over the bridge to the east bound freeway. There is a west bound entry right before you start going up the hill and over the bridge. So im doing 40 - 45 mph (speedlimit) and there is a white F150 to my left. He decides he wants to get on the west bound freeway and brakes and swerves into my lane, trying to make the west bound entrance. I had only enough time to brake and turn with him to avoid crashing. Well the dirty bastard sees me at the last moment and pulls back the other way. At this point I have lost control and I go through a couple poles and signs and launch off of the embankment. Both airbags go off and we hit HARD (i had a passenger) when the car stopped I got out as fast as I could and immediatly grabbed my hand due to the searing pain. I started walking up the street dazed and confused looking for the white truck and low and behold he took the **** off.
So im pacing around dizzy and shaken and people are yelling at me asking if I am ok. I say yes and finally my other friends that are leaving school see me and stop to see if I am ok. I look back to where the take off point was and the landing point and I flew a good 15 - 20 ft in the air and the car slid for a good 80-90ft. The airbag cracked the windshield, the bumper was gone, the motor was sitting on the ground, the passenger tire and rim had -90 degree camber (exagerating), we hit so hard the ac vent came out and I found it in the trunk / hatch. But after it was all said and done I would have to give MAD props to ROTA rims, cuz I hit the curb at 45mph and the tire exploded and there isnt a scratch on my rim
So the FD shows up and take my vitals and check out my hand and tell me I need to go to the hospital, they finish up their paperwork and then the CHP shows up. The first words out of the police officers mouth was, "Why were you speeding" not "are you ok" "do you need anything" and keep in mind he was told it was a hit and run. I have always had a lot of respect for police officers and that ruined my whole perspective on the term "serve and protect" This should be treated the same as a hit and run incident. Luckily I wasnt given any sort of ticket or citation.
Ill try to get pics of my car but it is still at the body shop waiting to be totalled out. I still owe 6k on the car and hopefully they will pay it off. Its a 99 ls teg with 72k on the clock. Im looking for a car right now around the 1500 dollar range. Preferrably a datsun 510. If anyone knows of one for sale in the socal area let me know please. Thanks - Alex

its really does suck dude...i totalled my teg last week....some bitch ran a stop sign....T-bone'd the **** out of her moms mini van....whats even worse is the fact she was driving w/o a license, no insurance and once again, wasnt even her van...the first thing she said to me was "Please dont call the Policia!!" but before i could reach to get my phone 2 jakes pulled up...SORRY BITCH!!needless to say, she went to jail...she failed to show in court i think 3 times in last 4 months...shouldnt i get some kind of reward???

why do you laugh at that price for a datsun, out here on the west coast they are plentyful, and ave price for a running one in decent shape is 1500, ave price for one with a z trans, L18 and mild work straight body is about 2500, and ave price for a swapped one with mild suspension work is 5000 - 7000. So laugh all you want ive been looking around, just figured id check here too

wow, sorry to hear about the teg.. good to hear that you and your passenger are still alive though. i hate people who don't know how to drive, especially the ones who drive huge trucks or SUVs. they deserve to be run over with a tank. 
i recommend a chiropractor for the pain... i never got one for my injury and i kind of regret it.
