Need Help Picking Different Exhaust... Opinions Please...
I've had a 4th Gen with a Thermal Classic for about 3 years now. I really would like to get something that sounds a bit more chilled out. Thermal gives a constant burrrrrrrrr thats to freakin loud, its wearing on me after all these years... I may want to also got 2.5" with a more stock looking muffler. Anyone have any idea as to what might wok well and a muffler that is a bit quieter. FYI motor is built w type-s pistons and crower 2's hondata etc, which means I would like something that matched this setup without being to loud, is this possible?

greddy sp or apexi ws. You may want to also look into getting a magnaflow and rattle can it flat black, those turn out pretty nice and arent to loud.
I just got the GReddy SP, I hope it is nice sounding, i havent heard very many people talk about it on this board. From what ive heard about it, its supposed to be pretty deep and fairly quiet.

i have it on my lude, its a great exhaust the only problem is that, that sucker hangs really low, but other than that, the piping is solid, and sounds is deep, not raspy, and looks blinging

im not sure how much the difference is, but i had an eg w/ a magna flow exhuast and i liked it alot. it was quiet until you got up into the higher rpm's and looked stock. i would assume it would perform the same w/ a lude
Go back to Thermal and you may well find that they have a "stealth" version of the muffler. It is possible that they can retrofit it for you too. There is also a Magnaflow that will fit. Just a thought.

I am doing exactly what you've described on my Prelude. I bought an aluminized magnaflow universal muffler with a 2.5" inlet and dual 2.5" tips. (The stock 4th gen VTEC polished tips are 2.5" each exactly. By going aluminized its not "bling bling" and will be very stealth. Check here to see the mufflers you have to choose from:

These mufflers are straight through so they will have no restriction. Just make sure you probably get two resonators on the catback piping.
