Default jdm b18c valve adjustment same as usdm b18c1??

just adjusted my valves TWICE and they are still tapping!! the only thing i can think of is the valve lash specs are different for the JDM B18C, since I followed the instruction from http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...t.php for the USDM B18C1. any suggestions??

You are not removing the camshaft holder plate are you? Do you not have a manual? The clearances you stated will work for the JDM b18c. From the web site you linked you can get all the manual information and even print it out. I would recommend doing this if you have not already. You must make sure that the piston is at TDC (top dead center) for the valves you are adjusting. There are four valves for each cylinder, so you need to adjust each of them while the corresponding piston is at TDC. Start with the number one cylinder. The order will be like this 1-2-3-4. When looking at your engine the no.1 cylinder is on the driver side. They are arranged like this (passenger side 4-3-2-1 driver side). Other than these few suggestions maybe you need to find someone who has done it before. Make sure you're adjusting the valves to .007 not .07 because there is a big difference. I am guessing you know that the intake and exhaust valves are adjusted differently. Intake-.006"-.007" and the exhaust- .007"-.008".

I don't mean to belittle you by telling you about the piston and firing order I hope you already know these things just trying to help out. Good luck man!!

Hope you find the problem. Glad to hear that you know what you are doing because some people just don't know.

i adjust my valves every few thousand miles. the first time i did it though, i still heard a lot of noise, so i did it again, still noise. i put a screwdriver to one of my injectors to hear the ticking, and it was LOUD! i was just expecting a soft tick-tick-tick but what i got was BAM! in the ear. it's probably your injectors. mine are rediculously loud.
