This weekend on the 10th... I wouldnt really suggest making a long trek for it though. Most of those events are horrible.

 

im only about an hour and a half away, im going just for the fun of it

I may wind up rolling out for a couple of hours to see how it is this year since i''m not going to be able to make it up to the NDRA race in Maryland... any racing is better than no racing. hehe.

Ha.. You wanna call that racing?? More like a weaker test and tune night...I think more cars come out for test and tune than these BOTI events

 

at least it is in the daylight so that you can see the potholes and stuff in the track... LoL... j/k

I'll still go to check it out... may as well... it'll be like a sunday-funday without all the loud v8's.. heh.

i went there last year and had a pretty good time street racing on saturday night getting chased by the cops from spot to spot and the event wasnt too horrible at least one of our south florida brethren went home with some contingency money. ill be upthere depending if any of my friends go.

 

me and some friends just got back from the BOTI at the Rock(April2&3), IT SUCKED. i have more fun at my local 1/8th mile track when we are all spanking the v8's. only time the BOTI events that i've been to are worth a crap is when someone people have heard of shows up like Bisi or Brauning, but that doesn't happen too often

 

took sunday off so ill be up there like 15 deep bring 3 or 4 cars up expecting one t4/sfwd to go low low 10's or even 9's the powers there lets see if the car holds up. if you see me up there come by and say whats up, im not hard to miss 6'5" and ill be rocking a ferrea valves shirt, names tony.

 

Ill be out there and yes i will have the car with me dont think i am gonna run though just a big for sale sign on the shell. Have the motor sold already. Dont want to give the guy a blown up motor.

i took 2nd place in the street performance and mark took first

 

We took runner up (2nd) in the Pro Street vs Jesus Padilla.

Jesus is a class act and great personality in this industry. He came up on every round to tell us good luck and drive safely.

I broke my tranny in eliminations
in street tuner

did pull a 1.56 60' tho
in my daily driver FC3S

would of been a nice mid-high 10 second pass

i figured you would, i didnt see anyone else that was faster than you in A/M. what ended up being your best run? ( mase tune your car? )

 

I would have liked to make it to eliminations, but lost like 6 teeth on my ring gear "ouch". Was still fun and Jesus and the guy in the Velocity Trends car were a pleasure to be out there running with, very nice people.

I had a great time! best was an 11.8 @ 113 It was my first run. My best MPH was 114 and trapped a lower time with identical 60 foots. So I did a leak down test right before the finals and cyl #1 was gone. I had 65% in #1 and I actually felt a bit of air coming out of the oil refill in the valve cover so it was like running on 3 cyl. Sucks but was able to get someting out of it. Besides that the dif took a shizzola too.

Shannon it was a pleasure meeting you! That spool took a dumb huh?

 

Nah, wasn't the spool, it held up good, but spools are very unforgiving and next down the line was my Final Drive. Thats racing on a budjet though, break a tranny and just pack it up and go home. Some day I would like to have a spare with identical internals. Wish I had even brought my spare stock transmission so I could have at least ran in the elimination round.
