Default Readin up on D2 coilovers.

Im looking into buying a new suspension setup for my 91 CRX Si. Now Im sittin on some H&R sport springs with KYB AGXs. Im not going to lie, it does ride pretty nice...just seems a lil soft and feels like the front springs are gettin tired since I have the B16 in there. They have been on my car for atleast 3 years now. Think maybe they are gettin soft?

I was looking into gettin the Tein SS but I was using the search button a lot and found some info on these D2 coilovers. They have the threaded shock housing so you can adjust the hight without messing with the spring rate like the Omni coilovers...and they cheaper than the SS. I hear the D2 are popular among the Nissan boys. Anyone had any experience with them?

Im also wondering on what spring rate to get. My H&R now are 4.9K front and 4.9K rear. The D2 are custom I believe, I can tell them what rate I want. I was thinking of 7K front and 5K in the rear. I wanted it a lil stiffer in the front for the motor, plus it seems the other springs run stillfer in the front anyhow.

Is this a good idea?

Thanks for the help.

Matt

Been doing alot of reading on these too member JDOGG and Zegs have them and love them... If your not into autox'ing or drag racing and just want a nice suspension upgade for the street with hight and ride adjustability these are hard to beat for the price i have not read a horror story about these yet and everyone that i've read that has them loves em of course your going to here the usual Koni this and koni that and mind you koni is the **** but for the price i think these are great they are rebuildable to here in the us if i read correctly aswell. Anyway unless someone can tell me something substantially wrong with these coilovers other than "they're made in taiwan" or "get koni's and ground control instead"
I think i'll be getting these.

I recently installed D2's on my Prelude and they're great so far. Fitment was perfect, quality was awesome and the handling and ride are wayyyy better then stock. I'd recommend them to you for sure.

I had these on my 91 CRX. They are awesome. Great ride somewhat stiff though. I sold them to my buddy who put them in his del sol. YES you may be wondering how did we swap them well I was running an eg application with eg lca & front forks. These are great for the price & better than the omnis. They have the height adjustability but also 36 way dampening adjustability as well. I bought them here in Toronto a friend of mine is the official distributor. I got the idea from him I rode in his 93 240 but he had the race application.

I would also look for a post by eggman he has a whole write up on them Check the EF forum.
