Hello all,
I am currently trying to figure out what valvetrain to put in my JDM H22A (closed deck). I plan to run an OBX Stage 2 camshaft and found a deal on Skunk2 Titanium Retainers and SH Valve Springs. Now, the SH are a dual spring setup, but upon some research it seems like my JDM H22A is also dual spring. So basically, I am trying to figure out if there is any advantage to getting these springs.
Also, unrelated, I noticed that there are Primary, Mid, and Secondary lobes on H22A cams. I was under the impression that the Vtec was a two stage setup. Can someone explain that a little further for me. Thanks.

There is no advantage in running the SH valvesprings as they are the same as what you currently have.
Id suggest eaither finding a good valvetrain combo for sale from the sponsors or if you want to stick with OEM honda, you may be able to run the Type S valvesprings but you arent going to be able to go to much past stock red. Just spend the extra few hundred dollars and get a well known good performing brand.
