Out of Curoisty....Which Contigency Sponsors Actually Pay???
I have heard some stories about certain Contigency sponsors not paying if someone does come in first or second place at a NDRA/NHRA Event, and was wondering if anyone actually knew who does stay committed, and pays those who win. I mean as I get the car ready for upcoming events, I would like to know that if say MSD is a contingency sponsor and I win first/second place that I am going to see the money that they have pledged to contribute, and know that I am not running their sticker for nothing. Just curious to find out what sponsors actually go through on their end of the deal.
In all honesty, I have gotten paid from all contingency sponsors. Some take a little longer than others, but last season, got paid on 95% of what was owed to me. Brian
Companies vary to what they will give you but they all do..None of them want bad names, its a race themselves to sell a better product..All of mine have came through with credits on account and paying...

The companies that we have had the best experiences with are MSD, K&N and Lucas Oil; we have only had to fight with one or two companies, but overall things have been pretty smooth. I really do have to tip my hat to Lucas though; they would be a dream sponsor.
i've gotten payed from honda, act, and a few others i forget...Battle of the import contingencies...

Seriously? That's a first.

I can tell you, all of the contingencies listed on the NDRA site are very prompt in payment.
Generally no questions asked, as long as I can verify the product installed and working on the car(not on the floor in a bucket, you know who you are), stickers on the car before the finals, not after you win, and reciepts if the company ask for it.
