Default Adjusting idle on B18c1

I'm trying to adjust my idle, but the thing just won't budge !

The first time I tried to adjust it with a flat tip screwdriver, a chip of some material seemed to split off the top of the screwhead and I don't know what the ^%( it was. Is there some sort of wax topper over the screw from factory ?

Either way, I don't want to force the screw, but it doesn't seem to move easily at all... is this as straight forward as it should be or is there something I'm missing ?

After swapping, I have been running no a/c for about 2 years... I just (FINALLY) put in the a/c recently. When the a/c is off, the car idles fine, but when the car is idling w/ A/C on... it shakes like it's having a seizure..... steering wheel, loose change, things in my door pockets....you get the idea.

Well if I pump the brakes and the idle goes up a few rpm, the shaking goes away.... so I want to set higher.

What I DON'T understand is that the GSR ecu (which I'm running + uberdata) is supposed to have a feature that adjusts fuel or air intake to compensate for the compressor engaging, but that does not seem to be happening as idle will drop once the a/c comes on.

just use a little pb blaster or break away, on the screw, try to do that first, use a bigger screwdriver second, and third, if that doesnt work, remove and clean the iac, or try to find a new tps... just a few suggestions, good luck

yes there will be some wax covering the tb screw if it's never been adjusted.. and the a/c will always drop the idle on our little 4 bangers

^^ Yeah, but when I had my integras, the idle wouldn't cause an earthquake-like change in idle. Maybe it's just that civics are rattleboxes tho.... LOL
