Default Camber Kit

I just want to know is the camber is a "MUST" for a lowered car?? Or if I install the aftermarket camber kit, will my tires last longer??? And what does the camber kit do anyways??? I haven't seen a lot of people install that on their cars.

It is not a must. It is highly recommended that you get an alignment in which your toe angle will do most tire wearing.

Camber is responsible for 10-15% of your premature tire wear. There are a fair share of people who have them installed on their vehicles but again, its not a must.

In the long run itll last longer but not by much. Good luck. Come see me in Dallas to get an alignment

A camber kit usually consists of an entire upper control arm replacement or it replaces the existing anchor bolts. Anchor bolts secure the upper control arm to the car. I dont suggest this kit. Its difficult to adjust.

On the upper control arm unit, a slideable balljoint moves out and in. If you adjust it in, towards the engine, your increasing negative camber. If it slides out, it increases.......yes...positive camber.

Never heard of an alignment kit? You can get the alignment done at most service shops.

I suggest Skunk2 or Omni.

its not a must, your tires might last a little longer with one, but still just keeping it regularly aligned should keep your tires in pretty good working condition. If you drive hard tires aren't gonna last long any way

In simple terms when u lower your car the wheels will look like this fromt he back

// \\ .........not that exaggerated but u get the point. Camber kit allows adjustment for you to get you tires back to normal

ll ll so that all of the weight and pressure of the car is evenly distributed across the tire, instead of just on the inside of the tire

Ahh, they are calling parts "alignment kits"

BTW, those parts are junk, get Skunk or Omni

I think it depends on how low you go. I have a camber kit and it's very noisy. I don't knwo if it was needed but I figure it's better safe than sorry.
