which is an intake or exhaust cam??? help
i was just wondering...how can you tell the difference between an intake cam and an exhaust cam...i just bought and the guy says that they are both the same...please help
intake cam hooks up to you distributor and your exhaust doesn't not. if there the same you got ripped off.. you should have like a slit on the intake cam on the end.. hard to explain

Yes, cams help. It's also good to get cams that are designed to work with each other. For example, it wouldn't make sense to have a cam designed for high overlap on the intake side and a high lift, no overlap turbo cam on the exhaust side, would it? They're designed to work together.
