Default car has trouble starting?

My car has trouble starting. When I turn the key, it struggles for 2 seconds before it starts. It sounds like it is about to die, then it starts. A day before, it would make any sound at all. It would start unless i keep clicking it over a few times. The battery is 3-4 months old and also bought a starter. Could it be the alternator?

Could be the alternator... check the easy stuff first, make sure all the connections to the battery and starter are tight and free of corrosion.

Check the alternator. Clean your battery terminals also.

just changed the plugs today, car still has trouble starting!!! It would take me about 30 attempts to start. And when it does start...it sounds like a bad cough, then it starts.

Sound like it has no trouble turning over since you can do 30 attempts and still have enough battery power.

Check spark and fuel.

What the condition of the cap and rotor... look inside the cap and inspect the terminals, do they have a nice appearance on the surface that touches the rotor? Or a crusty film? If a crusty film replace the rotors and cap as a set.

Fuel... you're gonna want to check the fuel pressure.
