Default IAT on 4th Gen - The problem?

Well, as you all know - the search engine is down so stick with me here -

Recently, i got a code on my h22 - it was either code 1 or code 10

How exactly does the IAT work? - what i mean is, can it affect performance if it is messed up?...

Also the same for the o2 sensor - i was told that the ecu starts guessing A/F ratios if the o2 sensor is messed up....

I think either one of these could be the problem with my lude....i installed a VAFCII controller and the TPS is fine - but i get no reading for the Intake temperature - this could be the problem....help me out here.

with any none vitial sensor the ecu uses an assumed normal value, re check the codes ..

the o2 going bad can also cause the car to wack out, hell if you have to take a video of the CEL blinking an we can tell you what number the ecu is sending
