ITR suspension on my EF9?
ok im looking to get some new suispension for my 1990 Ef9 i was looking under the car and i noticed the rear LCS's looked liek my old SIr-g integra ones ( same as ITR ) so i was wondering um.
Are the rear LCA's for the 90 SIR the same as the ITR ones? so then can i run ITR suspension or what
i searched and all i found was info and tips for the US 88-91 hatch so any info would be great..
Thanks
Gary

you will have to run ITR Suspension Type Suspension ( eye mount style) on the rear or switch out the rear control arms to the US Fork Spec to run US Spec Suspension.
if you decide to stay with the ITR type you will need EG/DC forks for the front
the only downside to using ITR suspension is that the front is taller by maybe 1.5"-2.0" giving a not so aggressive stance and lowering the car too much will lose suspension travel
I am currently using ITR BuddyClub Race Spec Damper w/ Upper Pillowball Mounts on my EF and to achieve a nice stance i have the Sus all the way down on the fronts, but because of the stiffer spring rates and adjustable dampening the ride/performance is not affected.

You should give this some thought. By going with the ITR shocks, which are 1.5-2" taller (as he says), you're losing out on suspension travel. And i'm guessing it would raise the car. Lowering it would again cause you to lose suspension travel.
Why not just buy shocks that were meant for your car? The rears are probably the same as the ITR (box type), so you don't have a choice. But, the front...

if you want to go with a true JDM damper/coilover set then its gonna be hard to find anything but the TYPE R to work
if you go with say, konis, then you could buy the ITR rear struts and crx fronts struts and be okay.
if you want super slam with good ride, then find some 86-89 Accord bilstein struts, an inch shorter than crx
(this is for thr Front only BTW)
I currently have buddy clubs on my EF and it is plenty low and because spring rates are soo stiff and the damper is set almost to max, the shock has yet to bottom out
before i the buddy clubs i used Daiyama BBI for ITR and ride was excellent and drop was nice also
