Default would an aftermarket clutch/pressure plate make a difference on my 88-91 dx tranny

Ok so i was suppose to be puttin in an si transmission, i ordered the exedy stage 1 clutch kit with the bearings and pressure plate. and then guess what i go to slide the clutch on the new tranny and that tranny had 20 splines and the clutch had 21. So he told me the wrong year for the tranny. Then im lookin at the tranny and the one thats still in my car. the one in there now is pl3/a100 (DX) and then i look at the one the guy is selling me and it says pl3/a000 (HF), so now i got a clutch kit for a 88 crx transmission
. The reason im doing this is becuase my symptoms with this transmission yall tell me the clutch is slipping. So basically, if i were to put this clutch kit in my tranny, would it make an improvement in acceleration even though its not an si tranny but a dx?

not sure what you meant exactly

but if you put an aftermarket clutch/flywheel into your tranny, even if it is a dx, you WILL noticed the difference and it does make a lot of difference.

i suggest if you do that, might as well get a short shifter too, so you can take advantage of it. and dont listen to everyone who says short shifters ruin trannys.. bad shifting ruins trannys.

if you get the new clutch, get a new lightweight flywheel at the same time
