wutta f....2134
well my story kinda goes like this....i bought a EK with b18b1 already swapped. i added a turbo to it and one day my timing belt broke. i took the opportunity to build my motor seen how i bent the valves and stuff. since the build, my car never ran. asked a whole bunch of questions on HT but the most response i got were 3 posts saying to check the four (ignition, fuel, air, timing) which of course i did a million times. one day i decided to **** around with the spark plug wires in different configuration still staying with the 1342 rotation. well to my suprise i got my car started using 2134 with 2 being bottom left. i was shocked but happy. but now the next problem is that my car doesnt stay on. what would cause my car to start at 2134 instead of the normal 1342? i work at a honda/nissan dealer as a service mechanic and know fairy well about where to set the timing. can somebody explain my crazy car?
Well, I know in the V8s, if you put the distributor in a tooth or more off, it can do weird things like this. But I've never had a "Distributor" out of a Honda. Can they be installed incorrectly?
they can only go in one way but have a pretty large adjustment range, so it can be way advanced or retarded. Double check both ignition timing and your t-belt timing. Good luck.
