My passenger side axle popped out 1/4" because the set ring was too snug. I took the axle out and made the set ring bigger, so it won't pop out anymore, but the problem is that it is now a lot harder to push the axle into the tranny.
I've tried to use a rubber mallet, but it's hard to get any momentum in that cramped place and there's really nowhere to hit.

Does anyone have a super tip that can help me pop this thing in so it won't come back out? Thanks

right method. dont be a sally. just kidding. CV's can be a bitch sometimes, if the splines are lined up it should pop in no problem.
