Default d15b help

I have decided to order the d15b since it has more modability. Here are my questions and concers.

1.) Will this motor bolt up to the original motor mounts in my 1990 Si HB?
2.) I beleive this does need a different wiring harness which i beleive http://www.hasport.com has correct?
3.) Will this motor bolt straight up to an Si transmission?
4.) From a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being the most difficult what would this swap be judged at?

P.s. - I would greatly appreciate anyone telling me info that i haven't asked questions about also like for instance different axles however i beleive this motor can use the stock Si axles as long as you use your old tranny.

Hi, everything bolts up the only difference in the motors is the internals.

Also you dont need to change the wiring harness if you use the si intake manifold. Assuming that this is a nonvtec D16b

ok so let me get this straight all i need to do is pull out my engine put this engine in bolt it up to my Si tranny that i have on my old engine. Then take the intake manifold off of the old motor and put it on the d15b. Plug everything in and it's all good?

So this means :

1.) My Si ECU will work with this engine with no reprogramming?
2.) My Si Tranny will work with this engine.
3.) The motor mounts for the stock Si engine are the same for the d15b

P.S. - This is the engine that i am looking into getting http://www.naganojapanese.com/jdm_d15b.htm shipping is $150

Your Si ecu will work but you will need something to trigger VTEC. You could convert to OBD1 and run a P28 or P08 ecu. The Si trans wil work just fine. The motor mounts are the same and it will bolt right in.

you will need the bracket for the drivers side mount from your old motor. also if you keep your pm6 ecu, you'll have to use the dist. from the old motor and i'm not sure about the d15b but on the z6 you have to modify that dist. to make it mount because the mount holes do not line up. also the ecu will run the motor but the fuel curves and redline might be slightly different. the tranny as stated will bolt right up and all the mounts fit provided you use the aforementioned bracket.

Well......could i just use the ECU that will come with the engine from http://www.naganojapanese.com or would i then need to buy a new wiring harness? Because i have no idea how to make it a P28 ECU. But if it isn't that hard could you tell me how or point me to a thread that tells in detail how it is acheived

the ecu with the motor should be a p28. you'll need a conversion harness to use it. that is your best route.
