Well, I cracked a ring land on Friday and now I have a whopping 115 compression in Cylinder #1. My best guess is that since I was running a single fogger NOS kit, all the Nitrous went into Cylinder 1 and it just couldn't hold it. I did not misshift or over rev, but it did detonate and destroy my nice NGK spark plug. Which pistons/rods would you recommend for rebuilding? Endyn, JE? Eagle rods? or something different. Thanks in advance!!

 

it all depends on your budget

i bought eagle rods & endyn pistons if that sways you at all..... i bought JE's at first but i returned them and went with the rollerwaves.

My choice will be Endyn and Eagle for my next motor. I have SRP's and Eagles now and the SRP slap around alo until warm. The other motors I have built wih Endyns pson sla wasn't noticeable.

 

I'm using Endyn/Crower, but if I had to do it over again, I'd go with the Eagle rods due to price.

me too. i usually run crower, but i think eagle has been proven worthy. i haven't ever heard a single complaint about them, and i wouldn't hesitate to use them even in a high hp application.

as for my setup... im using pauter rods and je pistons... cant go wrong with those

 

You cant go wrong with any of the set ups above, but Im going with Eagle rods and Roller waves..

what i don't like about off the shelf je turbo pistons is that on the intake side, they cut the valve reliefs real deep and in that area the piston is real thin and prone to failure. granted, if everything is tuned right, it should be okay, but it wouldn't take much to fracture that area.
