Default Project JDM CR-X EF8 --- Going USDM Style yo!

Lately we've been picking up quite a few RHD cars and moving them just as fast. Now we have a clean & complete EF8 CR-X w/glass top, painted Imola Orange in Japan, full running B16 swap, and complete mint-condition interior. Our plans..... Americanize it to the max, just for the hell of it. Are we crazy? Sure. Do we care about what the "JDM-lovers" will think? Nope. So since we have a spare EF8, we started by gutting the perfectly intact car all 'Pimp My Ride' style but only got about a quarter of the way done yesterday because we all got lazy.

Some initial plans include removing the entire interior (got the rear out yesterday), removing most of the JDM body panels, doors, hatch and lighting, swapping out the B16A swap, geting rid of the Watanabe wheels that came with it, possibly cutting off the glass top roof, and possibly (if we get crazy enough and have the spare time to burn), doing a LHD conversion on it just because hasn't been done . Now most of you will be like "why are you destroying this car and why rape & pillage it when it's completely intact?" Well, because we want to and we want to do something different. Besides, with other CRXs readily availabe to us, what's just one EF8?

Here are a couple of 'teasers' of what we did in an hour yesterday. Probably going to get it down to the bare frame and go from there. I am looking for a few things like USDM 88 CRX doors and other misc parts, but all of the JDM **** (heh) is getting dumped from the car. I'll probably take more pics once the interior is completely bare and the dash removed, when the body panels are off, and when the engine is out of the car.

How it first looked.....

And then after 20 min of pulling **** out.....

Even has this, which might be going......

Gathers Double-DIN Cassette/CD player.... still works great

Last quick shot.......

haha, Should still be nice after its all said and done. And thanks to the JDM bandwagon I bet you could make some good dollar off selling parts and replacing them with cheaper USDM parts. Your probley going to end up making money by going USDM lol
