CMI Sacramento cancelled.
They had 10 minutes worth of rain up there and called the race. Really sucks for all the SoCal guys (Tony Garcia, etc.) who made the drive and CMI didn't ever care to try to run the race. Cancelled 10 minutes after the gates opened. I would never go to one of their races again. They were allowing people to make passes on the track, just no race
come on guys we all know what its like to get to a race and not be able to do what we want. trust me im pissed too but I am not blaming it on sac raceway and tony is a cool dude and i hate to see his trek ruined by a little rain and we were on our way there and had to turn around after pulling an all nighter to get out of there for nothing, but thats racing, hey john can M & H come out wih some rain slicks or what! John also came out and im sure he stuck around for the test and tune guys but we needed more time to get ready and the weather played havoc with us all week already! thank you tony for pickin up our stuff and if you come back out we will hook you up for your time or ill send some shipping charges out to you!
i know Tony hated to cancel the event but you cant blame him for the bad weather i will continue the to support his event. Its really the only place you can seee small budget team compete on a level playing field..

the weather was pretty crappy early in the morning, ims ure they expected it to stay that way according to the weather forcast. they called the race early cause it really did sprinkle and usually when it sprinkles, its going to rain... a lot of folks left after the announcement and when the weather got better, the track couldnt just say nevermind to rescheduling, half of the folks that were there left already... crappy situation, thats all... at least my tech card is still good for the next event, and I still get to run...

Very dissapointing weekend, to say the least. In my opinion the race was cancelled prematurely. There was one big rain cloud and that drizzled on us for no more than 15 minutes. I don't understand why it was safe enough to run some time trials but not safe enough to run qualifying runs and try to get in what ever rounds the weather permits. And then finding out that it didn't even rain til after 6:00. Just venting I guess but it just sucks to spend over $300 and almost 20hrs.driving, to come out to a race, and have no chance to make any of it back. I don't think I'll be going back in 3 weeks. This weekend pretty much screwed the budget.
Thanks for coming out with me Aaron(my little bro).

i had read that you guys were coming up for the race, and then i saw your car sitting on the tralor in the pits.........man, i felt bad. like i said before, it's nice that they are going to reschedule the race, but that doesn't help people like yourself that had to make a road trip for nothing. i saw a few cars with oregon plates too

Yeah, there were guys from Vegas pitted next to me that actually ran some of the test passes. For me, its not really worth it to run the car for nothing. If I wanted to test it I could have done it 40 minutes from my house. I'm glad I got to meet some cool people out there today. My car is campaigned by my 50 hr paycheck, so making the trip twice in 3 weeks is practicly impossible. I'm pretty bummed out.
