Upgrading/fixing brakes. any opinions/help?
Ok, well i need to go out and get a new front cailper. And i'm just gonna spend the money to replace my pads and rotors.
I was think gold zinc coated rotors, but niot sure if they are worth it?
and what brake pads? i have been using stock oem honda, but they stopped carring them @ my local dealership....
and steel braided lines...worth it for 120$????

Why the coated rotors? Must be for rice cuz it sure as hell aint gonna do nuttin for performance. You probably don't need new rotors anyway, just sand off the the old rotors with steel wool or the right type of sandpaper and be done with them, unless you want the extra mass of new rotors for extra heat absorption and dissipation, but if you don't race, it doesn't matter.
For pads, if PFC-Z rated pads from Autozone are available for the CRX, I recommend getting those. They have a 2 year warranty, and they have pretty good bite for the street pad.
As for lines, considering your rubber lines are pretty damn old, it's probably not a bad idea.

i get my rotors turned at least twice on tracked car. what types of driving do you do? if you track the car or any aggressive driving, call cobalt friction and get some good street compound pads. i currently run cobalt gt sports. they squeal on the street but stop excellent. i used to use porterfields on the street and they were quiet and stopped decently. here's their #cobalt friction 877-562-9237 ask for andie . he is very helpful in deciding the best pads for your purposes.
