Painting an CF duckbill spoiler
Does anyone have any advice on painting a CF duckbill spoiler?
I'm looking to get a duckbill, but have seen numerous posts about the CF finish fading, etc. I figure I'll just paint it as close as I can to the factory black on the spoiler and call it a day. In fact, I'm looking to buy a faded spoiler that someone doesn't want anymore because of the fade.
Anyone have any pictures of painted CF stuff, can you just rattle can it?
Thanks

ya you can rattle can it, just scuff the clearcoat on the c/f wing first with 400 grit sandpaper or so nothing more gritty though. Then go to town with the spray paint, if you do it right it will come out real nice
You can buy straight up fiberglass duckbills for $100.
Sell your CF duckbill on here to someone who wants it, and buy a fiberglass one and paint that.
You'll end up with a lil money in the bank too.

lol! - Yeah, I don't are about the weight at all, it's totally for bling effect, I like the EG with a duckbill, it just looks better.
In fact I'll bet the duckbill slows me down down on longer/faster road courses. I was planning on trying to get some consistent times the next I'm at Road Atlanta, then remove the duckbill for a session and see how it affects my laptimes.
The only fiberglass duckbill I saw was on JDMShit.com and they are back ordered.
It looks like the Sp00n duckbill has the greatest angle, which would be best for a smaller track with more turns, the JDMShit.com duckbill seems to be the flatest, which would be best for longer, faster courses. If I had my druthers, I'd get the JDMShit one, or a used faded one for cheaper.
