save till you get enough to go turbo. wont get too much out of the d-series all motor, unless you have tons of cash. you can get really good numbers out of a y8 turbo setup on a very low budget.
for that much you could get a apexi vtec controller or a intake manifold or nos or..... There are tons of little things you can do, but your best bet would be saving up for a turbo.
By the way my homie is selling a Fidanza 7lb flywheel for d series motors, let me know if your interested.

That price range, nitrous is by far the best bang for your money. But, like stated before, you can save up another $500 and piece together a solid turbo kit.
If you go this route prepare to spend countless hours on HT researching what setup is best for you. Also, read Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. I'm reading it now and it's an excellent book for someone who wants to know all about forced induction.

best thing to do is piece up a kit, or you can even go with a greddy kit, and build off that. try searching for people on here with single cam turbo setups, and turbod16.com
What are all of the benefits from a Vtec controller? And also what about a AFC controller? Couple local guys tell me its for controlling the butterfly inside your throattle body to get more/less air, but I am just curious on how it does that since you have a mechanical linkage and cable going to the pedal.

Leave the VTEC crossover point where it is. It's there for a reason. Lowering it will make things worse. I can understand changing it if your motor was built up pretty good, but i/h/e isn't much.
btw since you've got $400-$500, I'd try saving up some more and build up my own turbo or get the Greddy pre-made kit.

Do i need larger injectors to run a turbo? I do not want to get into blowing headgaskets or breaking internals so my boost will be low? What is a good psi to run at so I don't do any of that?
