Fuel System upgrades... drag h22?
What would I need to add to my fuel system to run a DRAG turbo kit? The kit I'm getting doesnt come with the fpr/fuel pump/fuel rail... Would I really need a higher flow pump/rail or can i get away with just picking up an FPR on a stock fuel system?
Thanks
Thanks
You can run a stock FPR and fuel rail, and just get a larger intank fuel pump and larger injectors. Then run Hondata, Uberdata, Crome or whatever standalone system you chose.
Well a fuel pump isn't that expensive, only about $80-$90 new for a Walbro 255lph. That's just cheap insurance. Six PSI on a properly sized turbo on an H22 is roughly 230-250 HP. And stock injectors are already maxed out. So the only way you can get more fuel out of them is with an FMU setup, which is a bad idea especially on an H22. Used DSM 450's can be found for $40-$80, and they should be able to support around 300-320 HP, which would be good for 6 PSI DRAG kit on an H22.
Ok i'm going to grab the fuel pump but I'm considering just going to a larger injector... should i pick up a larger fuel rail or will stock do the job?
What size injectors would you all recommend for pushing 250+whp, I am thinking about going with PT 780cc in case I upgrade the kit in the future?
I've seen 266hp on 7lbs with a stock block... I'd like to run between 7-9lbs eventually and hope to make comparable numbers.
