if you have a non ex, why dont you just get a gauge clust with a tach from a ex and put it in, looks a lot cleaner than a huge one with a ship light

i have a question for you. if i did get an EX gauge cluster, could i just plug the harness from the CX in and the tach would work right away??? or would i need to rewire to get the tach to work???

I almost bought an Omori 2" tach from ebay for my 95 CX. That was before I found out it's pretty plug 'n play as mentioned here. So now I'm on the lookout for a gauge cluster from an EX/Si.

Had I bought the tach, I would've mounted it on the steering column which IMO is not as obtrusive as the monster tach's.

GSR cluster in the EJ. Did it myself, and like 4 other people now. It's way sicker than the EX cluster but cost wise its not effective. Plus when the winds blows in my car the needles blow around. BUt I can read my RPM's to the 100's

yea that too, the EX clusters are more expensive than GSR or LS clusters, and the EX clust is more rare, but then again the GSR/LS is a PITA to install from what i've seen.

does everything still work on a GSR/LS cluster tho???

The EX cluster's are rare!!!!111!1 damn I gave mine away, oh well. Yeah everything important still works in the GSR cluster I think the only things that didn't work are the door ajar light, low fuel light (might work with GSR sending unit) and the Main Req light. All of which I could care less about having. I love the way the GSR tach sweeps. Its so much more accurate than the EX tach, doesn't bouce around etc. Actually all the gauges are more accurate.

nice, i'll probably aim to get an LS or GSR (they're about the same right??? except for the 8k redline????). and yes, my bro's EX tach is way off when redlining his H22A, he has to go to about 8k on the tach to redline her. bad accuracy

Yeah I think LS redline's at 7200 or 6800??? and GSR is 8000. I know exactly what your talking about too with the EX cluster inaccuracy, that's why I put the GSR in. It's also nice to have a cluster that matches your engine
