Default Is it possible to tig mild steel to 4140?

I need to weld a mild steel bracket to some 1" solid 4140 rod...will this be a problem...if not what filler do I use.

Yes, it can be done. Use whatever filler you usually use on the 4140.

Oxweld 32 works nicely.
