Default :::FLAT BLACK : Can I Sand It Smooth?:::

Just painted the beast with Flat Black rust paint, obviously the paint is a little rough and has its little pieces of dirt in the paint since I painted in a garage. But am I aloowed to sand it down with say a 1200 grit without the charlkboard effect staying there? Like will it still be flat black......

Give me some ideas

you cannot expect to sand a basecoat, regardless of grit, and expect it to look normal WITHOUT re-spraying, etc.

2000 wet sanding with light pressure makes it super slick and make it shine a little more.

it will work you take your time. It would be better it you put more coats of paint on.

a half *** job will look like a half *** job reguardless.

You should have taken notes from Slopokes car. Flawless and flat black.

Take the time to respray it again or just leave it as is.
