Default crx hybrids

hello all, i did a search already and i didnt exactly come up w/ what i was looking for. so im contimplating on if i should get a second car, which the 88-91 Crx is on my list, after i get my hatch all good and up to par, then i'd drop a b16 into it, but what im looking for is how many model rexs are there? i know or Si, DX and HF, are their any others? and which models harness plugs up the the b16, i know the Si does but any other models? thanks

The only models are the Si, HF and DX.

Starting with easy swap for the B16 first: Si and HF are the same for wiring, but with HF you have to do some othere stuff for the axels to work., then the DX is the most difficult, lots of wiring. and have to convert from DPFI to MPFI. Good luck on your search.

so w/ the hf you'd have to swap out the knuckels? would the whole control arm w/ the brake assyemble from a 90-93 Teg work instead, becuase doesnt it come w/ larger calapers and rotors? thanks guys

GO for the Si! The HF may be lighter but with the si you can keep your a/c with the swap and have a sunroof.. Treat yourself right and go for the luxury!

Default si hf dilemma

si is for daily driver weekend warrior
hf is daily racer
dx is drag strip

my opinions. id go si even for daily racer. dx for strip definetly, if you want it just as a side car and dont plan to build it, buy whats cheap and its probably an hf plus youl save gas with an hf, but dont plan on beating any domestics or 84 crx si's.

Go for 90-91 Civic EX sedan front knuckles, calipers, rotors,etc... Same size brakes as the Integra, but doesn't mess up the suspension geometry.

Don't forget to pull the hub rings and the outermost rubber rings off the 90-93 Teg axles, or you could get hybrid axles at raxles.com, and keep the rings in place. I pulled the rings on mine a couple of years ago with no problem, but most recent swaps I've been involved with get the hybrid axles.

hey, i've been searching around for a rex and i see a lot more Dx's in better shape and cheaper prices in my area then the Si' sor Hf's. i was trying to aviod the dx and look for a si or hf since i dont have to convert from dual point to multi point. but how hard is it really, if i get the wiring from say hasport or place? with that harness, do all i have to do is plug it up like it was an si or hf? or is there more work involved and i should keep looking for a si or hf? and yes im aware that the hf weigts less and the Si have all the creature comforts, so none of that debate, thanks guys

Just keep looking, but if you find a DX that is in great condition and a good price then get it. But converting is not that fun of job, i have friends that tell me about it and it just sounds like a nightmare, ecpecially if this is your first swap.

bobo,
Yes the knuckle will work from an Integra. I used Integra brakes on all fours. She sto[ps way better than stock ever did. Bryan

nightmare is an understatement, I did it and would never ever ever never ever do it agian, you have to hard wire a lot of stuff in not just injectors, probably 80-90% of the wires going in to the cpu are different even simple stuff, the main relay though the same part number is wired a little different also. It can obviously be done but my advise is DONT DO IT!! go with the hf. If you want I can send you pics of what the rats nest ended up looking like when I was done both under the hood and in the drivers compart, agian, think twice don't go with the dx.
