possibly uses coolant
has a shaky run (engine has a sort of miss maybe head gasket)

what has been done
new inexpensive plug wires
new NGK plugs
new under hood fuel filter
new ign cap
new ign rotor
oil changed with 10W40 Mobil, engine restorer
new air filter
vac hoses inspected and all seem to be fine

whats needed to be done
possibly both outter tie rods
possibly both lower control arms
possibly new frt/rear brakes (need to inspect them there is no noise or pedal fade)
timing needs adjustment (at distributor)
compression test

if it is overheating it might have a cracked head. I wouldn't suggest you throw any money at it until you find out if the engine is going to live.

i have never seen a forum that was specific for an accord that old. there is an 86-89 accord forum, but thats the oldest i ahve seen for accords. chacnes are it jstu ahs an old tired engine. if you are up to a rebuildand can do it yourself id put some new rigns and bearings in it.
